Browser guides

Chrome

  1. Click the website settings icon (left of the browser URL)

  2. Click "Reset permissions"
    โ€‹

  3. Click the refresh button to reload the page
    โ€‹

  4. Click "Setup access"
    โ€‹

  5. Click "Allow while visiting the site"
    โ€‹

Chrome (iPhone / iPad)

If youโ€™ve previously turned off microphone or camera access, you can re-enable it in your device settings.

  1. Open the iOS "Settings" app

  2. Search for "Chrome"
    โ€‹

  3. Make sure both the "Microphone" and "Camera" permissions are enabled
    โ€‹

  4. Go back to the Chrome app and refresh the page

Chrome (Android)

  1. Open Chrome on your Android device

  2. Navigate to the website that needs access to your microphone or camera

  3. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar

  4. Select Site settings

  5. Under Permissions, tap "Microphone" and "Camera"

  6. Set both permissions to "Allow"

Return to Teleo and refresh the page for the changes to take effect.

Safari (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Click the settings icon (left of the browser URL)

  2. Click the three dots
    โ€‹

  3. Find the "Camera" and "Microphone" permissions
    โ€‹

  4. Change both the "Camera" and "Microphone" permissions to "Allow"
    โ€‹

  5. Go back to Teleo and click the refresh button to reload the page
    โ€‹

Safari (Older iPhone / iPad)

  1. Tap the "AA" icon in the address bar

  2. Select "Website Settings"

  3. In the popup window, ensure both "Camera" and "Microphone" permissions are set to "Allow"

  4. Return to Teleo and click the "Try again" button

Safari

  1. Click the settings icon (left of the browser URL)

  3. Change both the "Camera" and "Microphone" permissions to "Allow"

  4. Click the refresh button to reload the page

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the lock icon left of the browser URL

  2. Click "Permissions for this site"
    โ€‹

  3. From the list find "Camera" and "Microphone"
    โ€‹

  4. Change both the "Camera" and "Microphone" permissions to "Allow"
    โ€‹

  5. Go back to Teleo and click the "Refresh" button to reload the page
    โ€‹

Check Your System Settings

MacOS

Camera and microphone access is managed in System Settings (formerly System Preferences) under Security & Privacy. To ensure your browser has permission to use these devices:

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences)

  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security

  3. (On older versions) Click on the Privacy tab

  4. Select Camera and Microphone from the sidebar

  5. Ensure your browser is checked/enabled for both

After making changes, restart your browser for them to take effect.

Windows

To adjust your microphone or camera settings:

  1. Open Settings from the Start menu

  2. Use the search bar to find the relevant settings:

    • Microphone:

      • Search for Sound settings

      • Under Input, select your preferred microphone from the dropdown

    • Camera:

      • Search for Privacy settings

      • Under Camera, make sure access is enabled and your browser has permission to use it

Restart your browser after making changes to ensure they take effect.

Make sure no other app or tab is using the camera (Windows only)

On Windows, Teleo may not be able to access the camera if itโ€™s already in use by another application or browser tab. To fix this:

  • Close any apps that might be using the camera (e.g., Zoom, Teams)

  • Check your open browser tabsโ€”if you see a red recording icon, that tab is likely using the camera. Close it or stop the camera use.

After closing the app or tab, return to Teleo and click the "Try again" button
