Overview of a Teleo Individual Session

Written by Kate Haznaw (LCSW/LICSW)

This is the typical workflow for conducting an individual session in Teleo.

Step 1: Accept Client from Waiting Room

Start by admitting your client from the waiting room. This ensures privacy and lets you control when the session begins.

When your client enters the Waiting Room, a notice will appear at the top of your screen, and you'll hear a ding every 30 seconds to alert you. If you're not ready to admit your client, you can dismiss the window, and the sound will stop, but they will remain in the waiting room. When you're ready to admit them, look for the green dot in the Waiting section of your clinician control panel. You can chat with clients in the waiting room or admit them by clicking the check mark.

Step 2: Load the Correct Client Record

If your organization has EHR integration with Teleo, the client record will open automatically. Verify that the name displayed under the Client icon in your Clinician Control Panel matches the correct client record for your session.

If your organization does not have EHR integration, a window will appear when you admit your client, prompting you to select the appropriate client record. If this is your first time seeing a new client in Teleo, you can create a new client record at that time.

Step 3: Choose Session Mode

Decide whether to use talk mode for conversation or room mode for interactive activities. You can switch between modes as needed throughout the session.

Step 4: Use In-Session Tools

Utilize Teleo's activities to foster collaboration during sessions. Instead of sharing your screen, you can now engage in two-way collaborative file or website activities directly within Teleo. These tools enhance interactivity and collaboration, making your sessions more dynamic and effective.

Step 5: Save Snapshots

Capture completed activities by saving snapshots directly to the client record. If you'd like to refer back to them in conversation with clients in future sessions you can add them to the client album from the record.

Step 6: End Session

When you click "end session," all activities in the room will reset, preparing you for your next client.

Session Workflow Summary

Following these steps helps you deliver consistent, effective care while making the most of Teleo’s features.
